Research summary
I am a professor at the Astronomy Department, Universidad de Chile, currently working on planet formation from an obsservational point of view. Here is a recent press release from the Magister thesis by Oriana Dominguez on the PDS\,70c circum-planetary disk . In general my areas of research involve the study of circumstellar and interstellar media through radio and IR/optical techniques coupled with simple physical models. My other areas of expertise include photo dissociation regions (PDRs) and radio emission mechanisms, in particular on the physics of spinning dust. Here is an example in Ophiucus . Another field I have worked on is planetary nebulae, here is a result from 2006 .
